WHAT is Big Day of Giving?
Big Day of Giving is a 24-hour online giving challenge that brings together the region’s nonprofit community to help raise much-needed unrestricted funds and shine a spotlight on the work nonprofits do to make the Sacramento region the place we call home. For the past few years, the giving day has united our community, raising more than $16 million for local nonprofits from over 36,000 donors from all over the region, the state, the country, and the world.
WHEN is it?
The online event will take place all day on Thursday, May 4th. However, donors can pre-schedule their giving by clicking HERE and, for the first time ever, you can donate directly to the Auburn Symphony, which will create a matching fund for Big Day of Giving and will STILL count toward the Big Day total!
WHERE is it taking place?
At your computer. BIG Day of Giving takes place online.
WHAT methods of payment are accepted?
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover are accepted online.
Prior to May 4th, checks can be sent directly to the Auburn Symphony office, made payable to Auburn Symphony, Post Office Box 74, Auburn, California, 95604.
WHY is this so important to the Auburn Symphony?
The Auburn Symphony can raise tens of thousands of dollars that we are designating toward our free Symphony in the Park, our outreach programs, and our guest artists.
WHY should I donate on May 4th, rather than some other day?
Incentive funds and cash prizes!
Our local community foundations have raised a pool of “incentive” funds for this event.
The more online donations the Auburn Symphony raises, the greater percentage of those incentive funds will be given to the Auburn Symphony.
In last year’s BIG Day of Giving the Auburn Symphony raised over $19,000! Our success that day led to greater exposure to new donors and new partners, leading to even more success!
However, the competition for dollars will be even stiffer this year. Some 500 other organizations will be fighting for funds.
Please mark your calendars to make a donation to the Auburn Symphony on May 4th and keep a look out for more details over the next few weeks.
THANK YOU for your support!
