We raised $35,701 this year, $701 over our dream goal!
Thank you all so very, very much!
The future has arrived, and it is indeed very bright! We are thrilled to announce our new Music Director & Conductor, Maestro Ryan Murray, who will lead our 35th season with his own unique style. Music soothes the soul and brings deep comfort to all of us. We look forward to experiencing the journey ahead under the baton of Maestro Murray and our beloved Auburn Symphony musicians. Our Youth Education and Community Outreach programs will remain vital and relevant in our schools and showcase the talents of local young aspiring musicians. We are exploring new ways to be seen and heard in our community! Join us and bring along a friend . . . and we thank you, as ever, for being a part of the Auburn Symphony family and for your enduring support!
WHAT is Big Day of Giving?
Big Day of Giving is a 24-hour online giving challenge that brings together the region’s nonprofit community to help raise much-needed unrestricted funds and shine a spotlight on the work nonprofits do to make the Sacramento region the place we call home. For the past few years, the giving day has united our community, raising more than $8.4 million for local nonprofits from over 23,000 donors from all over the Sacramento region.
WHEN is it?
The online event will take place all day on Thursday, May 5th. However, donors can pre-schedule their giving starting Thursday, April 21st. Your early gift will be credited on the date the gift is given, and it will show on the leaderboard starting May 5th.
WHERE is it taking place?
Right in the safety of your own home, from your computer, but you are welcome to stop by the office between 9-3 p.m.! Check out the leaderboard throughout the day to watch our progress.
WHAT methods of payment are accepted?
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover, are accepted online.
Prior to May 5th, checks can be sent directly to the Auburn Symphony office, made payable to Auburn Symphony, Post Office Box 74, Auburn, California, 95604. Credit card donations can be made as well: click here. All early donations will show on the Auburn Symphony Big Day of Giving leaderboard on May 5th.
WHY is this so important to the Auburn Symphony?
The Auburn Symphony can raise tens of thousands of dollars that we are designating toward our Masterworks concert series, our community concerts, and our unique Educational Outreach programs.
WHY should I donate on May 5th, rather than some other day?
Incentive funds and cash prizes are awarded to the organizations from local community foundations! For example, the Golden 1 Credit Union is matching donations. Give with a Golden 1 credit or debit card and your donation will make an outsized impact, because Golden 1 is proportionately matching its members donations – up to $100,000!
In last year’s BIG Day of Giving the Auburn Symphony raised over $30,500! We were amazed and thankful for the outpouring of support we received with so many unknowns ahead. You helped us not only survive this past year, but stay alive with new video projects that we were proud to share with our loyal patrons. We are deeply grateful for the enduring support.
Please mark your calendars to make a donation to the Auburn Symphony on May 5th!
THANK YOU for your support!
